Reproduction of Sistine Chapel detail, Oil, 8x10

An "Ignudo," meaning "nude," from the Sistine Chapel. These are thought to be representations of angels.

I was attracted to the sculptural features and coldness of this character. This particular ignudo is seated above and to the right of the Delphic Sybil, who prophesied the coming of Jesus and other biblical events.

Collection of the artist.
