Mary Cassat is one of the few prominent female impressionists. I adore her work, especially her many paintings featuring mothers and children. I would be extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to paint a copy of a Cassat painting.

To me this painting stands apart from the more well-known figurative works by Gauguin. I love the magical warmth in the pinks and yellows of the landscape.
