Since
I was eight years old, I have wanted to paint. I
started art classes at 13 and never stopped.
I believe each person possesses a unique response
to life and that it can be expressed in many ways,
one of which is Art.
My creative method is to allow whatever I feel to
rise to the surface and be expressed in my artwork.
I watch the painting form and coalesce on the canvas.
Without consciously drawing and designing, I paint
in a kind of a trance.

For
about two years, my artwork focused on middle-aged
people taking a chance and pursuing their dreams.
That is continuing in my watercolors, but the direction
of my oil paintings is turning toward nude semi-abstraction.
I
thrill to the excitement of creating, regardless of
what it is. My painting is my personal adventure,
my contribution to the world and what makes life interesting.

| Imp2,
12 x 9", matted to 16 x 12", Watercolor/Pastel, 2002,
$140 |
| Here
is my friend from the "Frozen North." She is just
like she looks: adorable and impish. |

| Pink
Porthole Into Eternity, 9 x 12", 2001, Watercolor and
Pastels |
| This
is another lovely middle-aged sexy lady very proud of
her lovely body. However, she is not supposed to be
realistic, more like a idealized fertility goddess for
the Twenty-First Century. |

| Kissing
the Boots, 12 x 9", matted to 16 x 12", Watercolor/Pastels,
2002, $150. |
| This
piece was inspired by my desire to process what I'm
seeing on the web. The audience here disturbs me,
yet they seem good-natured, as everyone partaking
of sexual activities in my artwork usually appears
happy. |

My
dream is to open my studio to the public, which I can't do
now, sell work regularly for about $300 instead of Ebay prices,
and just paint. I live in Philadelphia in a little rowhouse
where I paint surrounded by mirrors, lights, and a floorful
of wires to the computer and stuff. I'm happy to be here and
I'm truly grateful to be a painter. I can be reached at jaynee@painterjayne.com
